The show jumping bred Luftwaffe (by Lord Pezi x Stolzenberg) became the price highlight of the 2017 Hanoverian Autumn Elite Auction in Verden, Germany, on 15 October 2017.
Bred by Manfred Schäfer, the mare Luftwaffe sold for 240,000 euro to a British show jumping rider.
The second most expensive horse was Elitär, a 3-year old stallion by Escolar x De Niro, which sold to a German customer for 190,000 euro.
The third most expensive horse was the 5-year old Don Easy (by Don Frederico x Rubinstein), which moves abroad for 120,000 euro.
The 5-year old black mare Deluxe K (by Dantander Hit x Silvio) remains in Germany for 86,000 euro. The 3-year old stallion Furstenglanz (by Furstenball x Lehrmann) stays in Germany for 85,000 euro. The same price was paid for the 4-year old gelding Fantomas (by Fidertanz x Donnerschalg), but he moves abroad.
The 4-year old stallion Blackstage (by Bon Bravour x Ferro) found new owners abroad for 80,000 euro, just like the 3-year old gelding Quintus Maximus (by Quantensprung x Latimer) but he sold for 77,000 euro.
The 5-year old jumper mare Carrisma (by Carrico x Eiger). Bred by Henrik Plass and owned by Swiss Fredi Stampfli, this mare sold for 75,000 euro to a local, German buyer.
The 4-year old jumper mare Sierra Campina (by Stanley x Charon) sold for 66,000 euro, the 4-year old mare Little Rose (by Londontime x Carabas) changed owners for 60,000 euro and the 3-year old mare Soleil d'Amour (by San Amour x Dacaprio) achieved a knock down price of 50,000 euro.
Seventy-six horses were sold at auction and they achieved an average price of 34,947 euro. Twelve horses sold for more than 50,000 euro.
