The grey gelding Bonjour (by Belantis x Sandro Hit) became the top selling horse at the 2018 Hanoverian March Auction held on 24 March 2018. The March auction included a collection of 70 riding horses and 31 foals.
Bonjou, who is bred by Sabine Portner, sold for 53,000 euro to a customer from Baden Wurttemberg.
The 5-year old stallion Fiorello KJ (by Furst Romancier x Londonderry) was the second most expensive horse. He sold for 50,000 euro to Hamburg.
The best selling show jumper was the 4-year old mare Charlotta (by Cascadello x Fighting Alpha), who fetched a price of 43,000 euro. She moves to The Netherlands. The jumper Visconti (by Valentino x Lordanos) moves abroad for 40,000 euro.
The 4-year old Quaterback's Diamond (by Quaterback x Weltregent) sold for 38,000 euro. The 5-year old gelding Solodancer (by Sandro Hit x Weltmeyer) moves abroad for 35,000 euro.
The most expensive foal in the collection was Samour d'Or (by San Amour x Donnerhall), bred by Helmut Heidmeyer. This colt sold for 32,000 euro to Blue Hors stud in Denmark.
The colt Feuerstein J (by Floris Prince x Jazz) sold for 14,500 euro, the bay colt Valegro SD (by Viralis x Lehmann), stays in Germany and sold for 12,000 euro, and the colt Bruno (by Bon Coeur x His Highness) achieved a knock down price of 11,000 euro.
The average price for a riding horse was 17,904 euro, the average price for a foal was 6,339 euro.
