The Holsteiner elite foal auction sale collection comprises 64 lots, with four of them having a promising future in the dressage arena predicted by head of marketing Roland Metz and his team.
They are by dressage stars like Franziskus, Vaderland, Benicio and Dynamic Dream – with some of them boasting Olympic relatives, as well.
Four Dressage Stars in Holsteiner Collection
The second dam to lot no 22, Bella Donna (by Benicio x Dolany), is Mira G, a mare much acclaimed in Holstein. Her daughter Annabelle was team Germany’s traveling reserve for the Tokyo Olympics with Helen Langehanenberg. Mira G has also produced the licensed stallions De Chirico by Dolany and Amber by Ampère.
Lot no 23, Oyphorie K’s potential for movement is also secured through proven Holsteiner genes on the dam’s side. In addition to her sire Dynamic Dream, who has been awarded the top mark 10 several times over at his 14-day-assessment, this foal carries Aljano x Linaro x Landlord in the tail female line, making her particularly interesting for Holsteiner dressage horse enthusiasts. This mare family’s jumping prowess with results to 1.45m level should not go unmentioned, neither.
Ingrid Klimke’s Franziskus is the sire of lot no 20, Fashion Time. The dam sire of this nobly made-up colt is Canterbury (by Caletto I). Besides his exceptional movement, Fashion Time also boasts successful sport horse relatives, like for example Cascada (by Contact Me), with placings at international level.
Vaderland’s Liebe (dam sire Aljano) is the name of lot no 21, a filly with lots of thrust and elasticity. The damline has also produced the licensed Colcannon by Cornet Obolensky.
Holsteiner Breeding Made for Dressage
As impressively demonstrated by Helen Langehanenberg’s Annabelle, the Holsteiner breeders’ investment in proven performance genes – since the introduction of Holstein Global also in combination with interesting outcross stallions – has paid off.
