The 5-year old Siegfried and the 6-year old Be Sure became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Syke-Okel on 10 May 2024. No less than 21 horses (!!) obtained a qualification score for Warendorf at this show.
Eleven combinations were entered in the 5-year old division which was judged by Rolf-Peter Fuss, Bernd Melhorn and Catrin Wingender. They saw the winner in Spaniard Fernando Esteban Ruiz aboard Mandy Zimmer's Oldenburg stallion Schatmeister MZ (by Secret x De Niro). The pair scored a total of 8.7 with 8 for walk, 8.5 for canter, and 9 for trot, submission and general impression. Charlotte Tollhopf and Sportpferde Galleria's Fancy Fergie (by For Romance x Catoo) were the runners-up with 8.34 points
Eight pairs competed in the 6-year old class which was judged by Fuss, Ulrike Böckler and Jurgen John. Stefanie Wolf and Bernadette Brune's Hanoverian stallion San to Alati (by Secret x Belissimo M) aced the division with 8.6 points. The liver chestnut received 8.5 for walk and trot, 9 for canter and 8.5 for submission and general impression. Scarlett Gartmann-Reuss and her own DSP stallion Fänomenal (by Fantastic x Desperados) were second with 8.04 points.
