A black Belantis II x son was named champion of the 2024 Brandenburg Stallion Licensing in Neustadt/Dosse on 10 - 14 January 2024.

For the first time the licensing co-incided with the CSI Neustadt/Dosse in the Graf von Lindenau indoor arena of the state stud.

A collection of 17 dressage bred stallions was presented and no less than 10 were approved. Three of them were named premium.

The champion was a Belantis II x Morricone x De Niro colt bred by Herbert Lichtenberg and owned by the Brandenburg State Stud.

"This Belantis II son has a wonderful typey expression and a great character. He showed three very good basic gaits, the best walk and impressive movement mechanism in trot. His type and appearance impressed us from the start,” said Dietmar Schulz, the sport representative in the licensing committee.

The reserve champion's title went to the bay Valverde x Quaterback colt, bred and owned by Luxemburg Grand Prix rider Nicolas Wagner's company Société et d`Èlévage SA from Luxembourg. At the auction following the licensing this colt became the price highlight, selling for 76,000 euro to Luxembourg's Frederique Buck, whose daughter Emmanuelle Wolfcarius is an international junior rider who trains with Wagner.

The third ranked premium stallion was a Bon Voyage x San Amour I x Depardieu colt, bred by Tina Roßberg and owned by Heinz-Hermann Harland. This colt sold for 36,000 euro to Ukraine.
