Inverness S, a, Ibiza x De Niro x Rohdiamant colt, was named the champion of the 2020 German Sport Horse (DSP) Stallion Licensing held at the Brandenburg State Stud in Neustadt/Dosse on 12-14 November 2020.

Bred by Karin Seidel and owned by Heinrich Ramsbrock, the dark bay colt was one of two premium stallions of this licensing, which is known under the name "Schaufenster der Besten."

"A stallion with unbelievable expression, who moves powerfully over back to the front in all three basic gaits. He showed an incredible temperament in all phases of the presentation," said the licensing committee, headed by Dietmar Schulz.

Twenty-two dressage colts were presented for licensing and 11 were approved. Two were named premium stallion.

The second premium stallion was a chestnut colt by Secret x Belissimo M x Florencio, bred and owned by Lena Marie and Kerstin Klose.

"This sporty stallion is still in full development and has nice riding horse qualities," said Schulz. "We liked him especially on the lunge line where she showed much suppleness, cadence and a good contact with the bit. The canter was through the body, always balanced and with much ground cover."

Auction Price Highlight

At the Online auction on 17 November, Inverness S sold for 89,500 euro to a German bidder, who acquired the horse for the Austrian Annawitt family.

The Secret x Belissimo M premium stallion sold for 75,000 euro and stays in Germany.

The licensed Destano x Christ fetched 41,500 euro and moves to the United Kingdom, while the licensed Quantensprung x Hotline sold for 37,500 euro in Germany.

The highest priced, non licensed stallion was the Quantensprung x Spörcken which sold for 15,000 euro to Australia.
