From the beginning of Belgian Junior Riders Online, Belgian equestrian photographer Dirk Caremans has always supported me with his professional photographs. His contribution to the actual junior-riders.com site, which you now see as Eurodressage.com, can not be neglected.
Dirk is my partner in covering the photographic aspect of the Belgian and European Dressage Circuit. Exclusive shots from the European Pony Championships, or a collection of top riders, competing at the World Equestrian Games of Rome, were at my disposal. A privilege of which many webmasters can only dream of.
It was Dirk who made the first move to get acquainted. A small introduction with his intentions settled the start of a long time correspondence. I have only seen Dirk and his wife Irine once in my life at the CDN Schoten, but it was a pleasant event. Many warm phone calls had already preceded our live meeting, and many more serious conversations still follow.
Dirk is a very busy man. As a much demanded photographer for Belgium's leading equestrian magazines Belgisch Warmbloed Paard, Paardekracht and Hippo Revue, he often travels abroad and he is scheduled one year in advance for his skills.. When he's not on the road, Dirk is dealing with deadlines, tries to satisfy his personal customers and is wading through a package of annoying e-mail I left him. In his 'limited' spare time he works with two friends on a special breeding programme called DiWiDa.
Much more about this interesting photographer can be found on his new and improved website. Go take a look and please email him with your impressions of the new site.
