After the recent sale of the complete Gestut Im Niedern, home of trainer Conrad Schumacher and rider Ellen Bontje, to Paul Schockemoele, the British Brookhouse Stud acquired several of Im Niedern's stallion, including Gestion Silvano N.
Latest purchase is the Oldenburger stallion Rubioso N. Leading lady behind the wealthy Brookhouse Stud is Emma Hindle, a British native, but living in Germany at Gut Neuhof in Dreieich.
Hindle started purchasing a large collection of top dressage horses in the late 90s, including Wie Weltmeyer, Diamond Hit, Silvano and now Rubioso. Although Hindle posses excellent horse potential and top class trainer's assistence, she has not yet been able to produce those ultimate scores that would grant her a highly respected position on the dressage scene. However, this might drastically change now that Hindle can especially ride the talented Diamond Hit.
As a youngster, Rubioso N was trained by Ingrid Berger who built up an impressive last of achievement (between the age of 4 and 6 years, they had 33 wins and became reserve National Champion in 1998). Ellen Bontje trained and showed the Oldenburg registered Rubioso N (by Rubinstein x Almeo x Vollkorn xx) at Prix St Georges level, but never competed him any higher. Rubioso N possesses good PSG skills, but seems to lack the brilliance to move on to Grand Prix.
