Scott and Susanne Hassler have resigned as managers of Hilltop Farm in Colora, Maryland. For 15-years, the Hasslers were the driving power behind Hilltop Farm, which is one of the largest warmblood breeding stations in the United States.

The Hasslers quit their positions at Hilltop to start their own business.

"We are in the midst of moving our horses, home, and the holidays," Susanne Hassler told Eurodressage and at this moment did not provide any further details to their decision to go independent.

Hilltop Farm's owner, Jane MacElree, assigned new positions of responsibility amongst her staff. Tami Glover and Michael Bragdell provide the training and starting services, the Swedish born Richard Malmgren handles sales. Melissa Wortman is in charge of breeding and raising, together with Jessi Liverman. The stable and horse management is supervised by Nancy Parker.

Hilltop Farm stands German bred stallions such as Royal Prince, Contucci, Festrausch, Riverman and the KWPN stallion Hilltop Rousseau. They are also involved with European based stallions such as Bugatti Hilltop and the Nurnberg Burgpokal winner of the year, Comic Hilltop FRH.

In February 2006, Scott Hassler was appointed National Young Horse Dressage Coach. His wife Susanne Hassler successfully competed Royal Prince (by Rohdiamant) at the 2004 and 2005 World Young Horse Dressage Championships in Verden.
