The Dutch A-team FEI pony Da Vinci has been sold to the 12-year old Tara Trachsler. Da Vinci was previously campaigned by Henriette Ruitenbeek, who is making the transition to junior riders level this year.

Through mediation of Hans and Cora Arends of Stable Arends in Maartensdijk, The Netherlands, Da Vinci was introduced to the Trachsler family. After searching for a suitable FEI pony for more than one year, the Trachslers found the right match in Da Vinci and they purchased the pony on February 7, 2007.

The 11-year old Dutch Welsh pony Da Vinci (by Universal) was extremely successful under Ruitenbeek and they were members of the Dutch A-team since April 2006. The pair consistently scored high in the Dutch FEI pony competitions, including the Imperial Riding Cup. They were Regional Gelderland Champion in 2004 and represented The Netherlands at international shows such as Freudenberg (GER), Stadl Paura (AUT) and Wouwse Plantage (NED).

Tara Trachsler, who is trained by Hans and Cora Arends, hopes to learn much from her experienced FEI pony and she aims to become a member of the Dutch Pony Team in the future. Tara also owns two young horses, a Welt Hit II son and a Ronaldo offspring, which are being prepared for junior riders level.
