British world class performance rider Emma Hindle won the Grand Prix Special with a personal best score at the CDI Braunschweig in Germany . Aboard Brookhouse Stud’s 14-year old Hanoverian licensed stallion Lancet (by Wenzel x Shogun xx), Hindle scored 71,800%
and topped the leader board.
“It’s such a pleasure to win in this great atmosphere in the beautiful Volkswagen arena. You have a very knowledgeable audience here and they confirmed the judges’ verdict,” Hindle commented after her winning ride. “Everything went perfect from the start. Lancet was totally on the same wavelength with me; it was a dream to ride him and win.”
Hindle, who is a long-time British team rider, was especially pleased with Lancet’s top quality traversal movements and his overall outstanding looseness during her Special ride. “When a horse is co-operating like this, you can’t wish for more,” she explained.
Emma and Lancet, who were competing at their first show since December 2006, also placed third in the Grand Prix with a solid 70.625% despite a mistake in the one-tempi’s. The class was won by Russian Alexandra Korelova on the former police-horse Balagur.
This past winter, Emma has been training hard under the supervision of Kyra Kyrklund and her partner Richard White to prepare Lancet for the 2007 show season with the 2007 European Championships in Turin (ITA) as goal and highlight of the season. “Lancet has been getting better and better and has been giving me a great positive feeling,” she said.
Hindle’s next show appearance will be aboard Lancet, Diamond Hit, and Chequille Z at the CDI Stadl Paura (AUT), April 5-9, 2007 .
