Tidningen Ridsport reported that the Swedish warmblood mare Era TP has passed away two weeks ago following complications after surgery. Era TP was one of Sweden's most successful mares and young dressage horses.
Era TP was by Come Back II out of Baccara (by Bernstein x Toe Hold xx) and was owned by Team Piaffe.
She won the Swedish Foal Championships, the Swedish 3-year old Mare Championships and Kungakannan National Mare Championship.
Under Mia Runesson, the dark bay mare participated in the 2003 and 2004 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and made it into both finals as a 5 and 6-year old. In 2005, the mare started competing at international small tour level.
Era TP was now aged eleven and no longer active in sport. She was in foal for the first time this year and carried twins by the stallion Rolex TP (by Ron William x Inselfurst). Unfortunately, there were complications during the delivery on March 17 and the mare had to be transported to the regional equine clinic in Helsingborg, Sweden. One foal had come naturally, but the other had to be delivered on the operation table. In the recovery room, the mare got internal bleedings and unfortunately didn't make it. Both foals died as well.
