Deco Achieves Top Knock Down Price at 2009 Munster Summer Auction

The 4-year old black gelding Deco achieved the top knock down price at the 2008 Summer Auction in Munster-Handorf, Germany, on May 17, 2009. Bred by Rembrandt's renowned breeder Herbert de Baey, Deco is by Danone I x Akribori and sold for 24,000 euro to a buyer from Westfalia.

The most expensive sport pony was Duty Free. This 4-year old bay mare by Don Joshi x Valento sold for the knock down price of 3,400 euro. This pony was bred and presented at auction by Josef Schulze-Sudhoff. 

The second most expensive horse of the auction was the liver chestnut Fürst Maquisard, a Fürst Piccolo x Maquisard xx, bred by Wilhelm Maassen and presented for sale by the Dutch Matty Marissink. This 4-year old gelding sold for 23,500 euro.

 

 

Three horses sold for 22,000 euro. They were catalogue number one, two, and three. American Melissa Mulchahey purchased Statement (by Sandro Bedo x Florestan) for this price, Ruby Tuesday (by Real Diamond x Davignon) and Rocking Johnny (by Rockwell x Florestan) cost the same amount of money.

The average price for a Westfalian sport horse at this summer auction was 11,379 €, which is 1,000 € more than at the 2009 Handorf Extra Winter Auction.
