The first national indoor competition took place the past two weekends but the international indoor show circuit kicks off this week with the Oslo Horse Show CDI in Oslo, Norway.

The CDI Oslo coincides with a five-star international show jumping World Cup qualifier which has attracted some of the best show jumpers in the world.

"The moving of arena and the level raising to a 5* CSI with higher prize money seems to draw the very top riders in the world to Oslo Horse Show. Every day I get calls from top international riders asking for a private invitation. I have never experienced a pleasure like this," said event director Morten Aasen.

Six Norwegain riders, including the bronze winning team from the Nordic Championship, will be on the starters' list as the dressge riders open the 2009 edition of Oslo Horse Show. Oslo winner Micheal Sögaard and his grey gelding Feisal are back in Oslo after two years.

The Norwegian riders entered to compete are Ellen Birgitte Farbrot (CC Roya), Vera Galtung (Omas Little Big), Camilla Kalseth (Carte d´Or), Ann Cathrin Lübbe (Zanko), Cathrine Rasmussen (Orlando), and Gunn Skovholt (Apsalon).

In addition to Michael Søgaard, Danish riders Jeanette Sund (Aquino) and Pernille Ørum (Lumiere) have arrived. Swedish Rose Mathisen (Bourbon), Pia Fälth (Efendi), Charlotte Haid Bondergaard (Lydianus) and Anette Christensson (Normandie JB) are scheduled to compete. Finally Susan de Klein (Prins) from the Dutch Antilles completes the list of 14.
