The prestigious Spanish Sunshine Tour is now in its 12th edition. The Andalusian based Dehesa Montenmedio is hosting its annual dressage festival the first three weeks of March 2010 and the event is firmly established in the FEI calendar attracting top riders from all over the globe.

Riders and their mounts are hoping to obtain the required scores from their National Federations to qualify for the upcoming World Equestrian Games 2010. Show Director Ms Teresa Fontán and her organizing committee are delighted to welcome top riders, trainers and highly decorated horse and future horse prospects to compete at the picturesque facilities of Dehesa Montenmedio, offering an incredible venue to stay and enjoy three weeks of top dressage sports in a row with Spanish flair.

Loyal guests such as English European team silver medallists Maria Eilberg and Carl Hester or Brazilian Renata Rabello Costa are competing in the Grand Prix Tour and will battle to become the next winner of the 2010 Sunshine Tour. They join last year's champions Olympic riders Jordi Domingo Coll and Juan Matute Aziparte in the list of winners. Or will Carl Hester be able to win the Tour for the third time after 2003 and 2004? The crowd is expecting two more fascinating weeks of sports until March 21.

Over the past years the Sunshine Tour became a festival of different nations, languages and cultures creating a special atmosphere hardly to be found anywhere. The nations present at this year’s Sunshine Tour cover the entire globe (21 nations): New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Puerto Rico, United States of America, and Russia, just to mention a few.
