Bellagio, one of Sweden's most promising young dressage horses and licensed stallions, has been sold to the Haid-Bondergaard family.
The 4-year old Dutch warmblood bred stallion will move to the stables of Swedish Grand Prix rider Charlotte Haid and her Danish husband Rasmus Bondergaard.
Bellagio became the 3-year old champion at the 2009 Swedish Young Horse Championships and was licensed for the Swedish warmblood society following a successful stallion performance test in Flyinge in March 2010.
Swedish owners Johan Ifversen and Jens-Erik Markusen discovered Bellagio in The Netherlands. Bellagio will continue to stand at stud at Jan Brink's Tullstorp stables for the 2010 season.
"We think he is an important stallion for Sweden and for the long-term plan we know he'll have a career as international top horse at Grand Prix level," Rasmus Bondergaard told Hastmagazinet.
