2010 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses

Suntreader and De Facto were the winners of the FEI young dressage horses classes at the American East Coast Young Horse selection trial at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA, 4 - 6 June 2010. Unfortunately neither of the winners were able to score 8.2 or above in order to qualify for the 2010 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.

The 5-year old division was won by German born Inga Janke on Dr. Pamela Erdman's Oldenburg gelding Suntreader. The bay Sandro Hit x Rubirando offspring scored 7.9 in the preliminary test and 7.74 in the finals test to earn an overall score of 7.804. Karen Monks-Reilly and the chestnut Aesthete (by Trento B x Gribaldi) were the runners up with 7.764 points.

Only two horses competed in both rounds in the 6-year old division. Christopher Schruefer and De Facto, an Oldenburg gelding by Don Rubin x Roulette and owned by Martha Singh, scored an overall mark of 7.752. Laura Wharton-Mero and the KWPN branded Zandor (by Florencio x Amulet) finished second with 7.448 points.
