(Editor's Note: We're posting this a bit late but we still want to share it with our readers) The Dressage Committee discussed the guidelines for the implementation of the Pilot projects. Input after the Pilots would be given by the Foreign Judge, Foreign Rider and organisers.

The placing of seven judges huts has four options, one default option A, the other three are to provide flexibility to the organisers if A is not possible in their particular arena, subject to FEI approval. For the Judges Supervisory Panel, 3 members would be present. “The number of steps in piaffe and rein-back” were added to the list of Correctable Factual Errors for the JSP.

The Organisers of events and shows with Pilots would be informed about the issues that may arise for the scoreboards with these tests. Guidelines were to be sent to Organisers, Clubs and NFs as soon as possible.

IOC has adviced that the length of the competitions in London 2012 cannot be longer than in Hong Kong. Therefore a group to look into developing a short Grand Prix Special was formed, in order to increase the number of riders compared to Hong Kong. It may be necessary to reduce the number of riders compared to the new format.

The Dressage Committee discussed the issue of allowed coat colours, and a small group was formed to study this further and make a proposal to be sent out to riders and further discussed in the DC.
The procedure for the Medal giving ceremonies at Championships formulated in den Bosch was discussed. Further precisions in the wording were to be made and the document then sent out to stakeholders for feedback.

Development was discussed as it is most important for the DC to know what is going on and can be done around the world, so overall decisions based on full knowledge can be made. The FEI Development department would further inform the DC.

A possible future issue regarding the use of helmets was discussed. More information would be collected from the other disciplines before formulating more than a recommendation to use safety helmets when training and in warm-up.

The Dressage Director informed that all documentation from the WEG test event had been received and collected and that the overall feedback was positive. The arena and footing were excellent; the stabling would be different, in tents with bigger boxes. Some issues about the trot-up were raised in most of the reports.
