The Brandenburg licensed stallion Quaterback (by Quaterman x Brandenburger x Brentano II) was the sire of the Champion Filly and Colt at the 2010 German Foal Championship held in Lienen, Germany, on 16 - 18 July 2010.
In the fillies category Uwe Brandes' Oldenburg bred fllly by Quaterback out of Elite Mare Atessa (by Rubinstein x Ataturk x Cavalier) took highest honour. The bay mare received the champion's ribbon in her gender group. She beat both of Elisabeth Albers' Fidertanz foals which finished second and third. The second placed filly was out of Fiona (by Furst Heinrich x Alabaster x Rubinstein), the third ranked one out of Fiona's dam Antara (by Alabaster x Rubinstein).
In the colt category, Silke Pelzer's Quaterback x Sandro Hit colt was selected as winner. He beat Stefan Holtwiesche's show jumping bred Numero Uno x Balou de Rouet colt. The third ranked foal was Margarethe Strohm's Furstenball colt out of the renowned mare Cileste IV (by Sandro Hit x Hill Hawk xx x Harald). This dam line also produced licensed stallions Welt Hit I to IV.
The champion pony foal was Katharina and Lisa Treitinger's Weser Ems branded Casino Royale x Champus K colt (see video top right corner). This roan coloured colt ranked first ahead of a Champion de Luxe and Constantin offspring.
