2011 Royal Equestrian and Camel Festival

P.S.I. (Performance Sales International) proudly produced this year’s Royal Equestrian and Camel Festival at Al Fatah Square in Al Wattayahin, Muscat, Oman, on 1 January 2011. This highly renowned show, which was presided over by His Majesty Sultan Qaboo

, is organized once every five years and is an attraction for horse and camel lovers, not only in the Arab world.

Due to the good business relationship between Ullrich Kasselmann, Paul Schockemöhle and the Royal Court of Oman, P.S.I. got the opportunity to make an application to become technical producer of the anniversary show in 2011. After a long planning and conception process, a team of over 30 organizing specialists plus more than 100 people of the technical crew went to Muscat at the beginning of December 2010.

Former German dressage team chef d'equipe Klaus Roeser, who is a CEO of Paul Schockemöhle Marketing, was the project manager of P.S.I. behind the scenes of this huge production.

"The target of the organizing committee was to create a show, that combines traditional Omani elements and international show acts in an impressive show," Roeser told Eurodressage. "Iinternational artists from 12 nations came to join the show"

The International Olympic Dressage Quadrille, organised by Ullrich Kasselmann, underlined the esthetical demand of the show. As a part of the whole show concept the quadrille should demonstrate one more highlight of the big variety of equestrian sports. P.S.I. invited German dressage riders and trainers Christoph Koschel, Heike Kemmer and Jan Bemelmans as well as Canadian Olympian Christilot Boylen to participarte in a dressage quadrille together with Kasselmann in-house riders Steffi Kerner, Insa Hansen, Bianca Kasselmann, etc.

Over 35 containers with technical equipment have been shipped to Oman. For the venue more than 950 computer programmed lights and 180 tons of stage construction equipments were needed. In total 7000 participants, 1540 horses and 740 camels took part in the successful show.
