The 4-year old dark bay Westfalian mare Babera van Alfen (by Belissimo M x Argentinus) became the price highlight of the 2011 Westfalian Winter Auction at Munster-Handorf on 23 January 2011. Bred by Barbara and Heinz Nillies from Borchen
, the mare sold for 32,000 euro to Nadine Capellmann.
The second most expensive horse of the collection was Ehren Silverday, a 3-year old bay gelding by Ehrenpreis x Laomedon. This colt sold for 25,000 euro. The 3-year old chestnut gelding Dante (by Douceur x Pelegrinus) switched owners for 23,500 euro.
This auction collection included fifteen 2-year old stallion prospects. The best seller was Royal Rhythm (by Royal Rhythmik x Florestan). Bred and presented by Hermann and Stephan Borcherding, this bay colt sold for 20,000 euro. The bay Four Seasons (by Florenciano x Weinzauber) switched owners for 18,000 euro.
One pony was auctioned. Wilhelm Brandt's 3-year old bay mare Phillis (by Pour L'Amour x Dressman II) achieved a knock down price of 9,700 euro.
Fifty-one sport horses sold at this "Handorf Extra" auction and they achieved an average price of 10,355 euro. The average price for a stallion prospect was 10,347 euro.
