Every year during the Saturday night gala show at the Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte’s Perpetual Prize is awarded to an outstanding stallion.

The prize is awarded a stallion, approved by Danish Warmblood which through its own performance, or as a sire of sport horses, has achieved remarkable results in the previous year.

This year the prestigious prize was granted the 20-year-old sire Michellino (by Michelangelo x Ulft). Michellino is among the highest ranked dressage sire in the world. He has sired a number of internationally successful dressage horses like the world ranking no. 3 “Mistral Højris”.

Michellino, an elite stallion in Danish Warmblood and previous Stallion of the Year, stands at stud with ”Støvring Hingstedepot” owned by Irene Braun and Niels Grøndahl.
