Three hundred spectators made their way to the Wietelshof, on Sunday, to see the presentation of this year’s Classical Sales Warendorf collection, and they were spoilt for choice: a few chose to enjoy the beautiful spring sunshine
and see how the CSW riders warmed up the horses outside in total harmony, on this day like any other, before they rode them in the main indoor arena.
The entertaining musical accompaniment, with songs from the New German Wave genre, brought a smile to people’s faces, but the atmosphere was one of total concentration as the spectators closely followed the four riders as they presented horses who moved with elasticity and impulsion when working, and with relaxation and confidence when walking on a loose rein.
The aspect which impressed the audience the most was not just the clear quality of the horses, but also – and more importantly – the way in which they were worked. The horses all appeared relaxed, even in the unfamiliar surroundings of the indoor arena overflowing with spectators, and they all showed a great degree of potential.
The spectators witnessed some exceptional horses who clearly show a lot of promise for their future careers, and they did not hide their approval at the end of the event.
This year’s CSW auction will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 7pm at the Wietelshof. ClipMyHorse will broadcast the auction live on the Internet.
