Experienced young rider Angela Krooswijk felt little resistance riding to a triple victory at the 2011 CDI-YR Roosendaal hosted at Stable De Gouberg on 6 - 8 May 2011. Krooswijk, who trains with Coby van Baalen, saddled her third horse Flash (by Fidermark) and scored thrice over 70%. With scores of 71.89% (PSG), 74.08% (individual) and 75.460% (kur) she gradually distanced herself from her main competitor Mieke Mommen and some Dutch team mates in the field.
"I got goosebumps during my freestyle. It was a wonderful feeling," said Angela Krooswijk after winning the Kur to Music.
Belgian Mieke Mommen was on strong form, especially in the first two rounds, but couldn't keep up that high level in the freestyle. Aboard her impressive bay Oldenburg gelding Rocky (by Rockwell) she was breathing down Krooswijk's neck in the Prix St Georges (70.48%) and Individual test (71.10%) but in the freestyle dropped to a fourth place with 71.790%.
