The Oldenburg licensed stallion Quando Quando will be retired at stud at David Shoobridge's Revelwood Stud in Australia. The chestnut stallion was an Australian dressage team horse under owner Kristy Oatley.
The 1995 born Quando Quando is by Quattro B out of State Premium Mare Schickeria (by Akzent II x Matador). He was licensed for Oldenburg as a 1c premium stallion and won his stallion performance test with 140.86 points. He competed at the 2000 and 2001 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf and showed at the 2001 World Young Horse Championships in Verden.
Quando Quando became one of Kristy Oatley's most successful Grand Prix horses. He won the consolation finals at the 2004 World Cup in Dusseldorf. In 2006 he represented Australia at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen and went on to compete at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong.
The now 16-year old chestnut stallion will be retired from sport and starts a second career as a breeding stallion in Australia. Alongside contracting Quando Quando, Shoobridge is also in the process of importing KWPN licensed stallion OO Seven.
"Quando Quando started quarantine in the beginning of August and will be released on the 25th September," David Shoobridge told Eurodressage. "It's a long and expensive process to import horses but the opportunity to have two new international calibre stallions is too good to pass up!"
Quando Quando has seven licensed sons so far, including Quaterman (sire of Quaterback), Quiztime and Qualia.
