The new FEI pony tests have been published on the FEI website and will be effective as of 1 January 2012. A working group, headed by O-judge Katrina Wüst, has developed the new tests which will replace the old ones dated from 2004.
The level for FEI ponies has not been raised: trot half passes, counter canter, extension and collection, simple changes, rein-back, and the turn on the haunches continue to test the technical skills of the ponies and riders. The new program, however, brings some welcome change to the pony dressage competition world.
