The Oldenburg foundation stallion Sandro Hit has lead the 2011 Dressage Sire Ranking in the United States. The Sandro Song x Ramino stallion has sired the most successful offspring currently competing in dressage in the United States during the 2011 show season.
The Leading Dressage Sire ranking is based on points earned in licensed USEF competitions. In order to earn points, horses must be recorded with United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and their owner must be a member. The calculations are determined by using USEFs Horse of the Year point scale.
The black Oldenburg stallion Sandro Hit outclassed all competition with his 9223 points which made him top the leaderboard. The runner up is the Hanoverian foundation stallion Weltmeyer (by World Cup I x Absatz). His offspring gathered 6610 points.
The third ranked stallion is the Oldenburg Contango (by Contender x Kronprinz xx) on 6279 points, followed by the Danish based Holsteiner Come Back II (by Cor de la Bruyere x Landgraf I) with 5255 points. The top five is completed by the Hanoverian Rotspon (by Rubinstein x Argentan) with 5010 points.
The KWPN stallion Jazz, the leading dressage stallion of on the 2011 ranking of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horse, remarkably only covers the 23rd position on the Leading Sire ranking in the U.S.A.
