Belgian World Young Horse Championship rider Tom Franckx-Goen has been given the ride on another talented young KWPN licensed stallion: Charmingmood (by Winningmood x Contango).

The soon to be 5-year old Charmingmood is bred by Van Norel and Laarakkers and got sold to current owner Adri Zekveld of stud farm Sollenburg at the 2010 KWPN Select Sale. The bay stallion was previously competed by Vai Bruntink.

Tom Frankcx-Goen has been riding Charmingmood for one week. "We're still getting to know each other, like with every new horse, but there seems to be a good click," Franckx told Horses.nl.

The Belgian rider, who made great acclaim by finishing fourth with the Dutch owned Bon Bravour at the 2011 World Young Horse Championships, hopes to compete Charmingmood at the KWPN Stallion Competitin qualifier in Deurne next week. "Not because I have to from the owner, but because I'm curious to see how Charmingmood will react in a different environment. Otherwise we have to go straight to Den Bosch (for the competition Finals)."
