Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein's Grand Prix horse Master Mind has been sold to Danish junior rider Amanda Overgaard. The 13-year old gelding has moved from Castle Berleburg to Graested, Denmark, where he'll continue his competition career.
Ridehesten reported that Master Mind moved from Germany to Denmark after Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein rode him one last time at the Gala Evening of the 2012 Danish Stallion Licensing in Herning last weekend. Bred by Nathalie's mom HRH Princess Benedikte of Denmark, Master Mind is by Master out of a Sandro dam.
"It's fantastic that Amanda can take over such a well ridden and fully trained horse as Master Mind," said Amanda's mom Helle Kristiansen. "We are very grateful for the opportunity."
Amanda and her mum will got to Berleburg in Germany twice per year for one week to train. At the same time Helle can check up on her horse Horsebo Smarties (by Gribaldi) which is being trained and competed at Grand Prix level by Nathalie since 2010.
In Denmark Amanda Overgaard is trained by judge Susanne Baarup. Last year, Amanda competed at FEI pony level with Holsteins Wellness. Her plan for this year is to ride Master Mind in the Ecco cup circuit.
