The Classical Sales Warendorf principles have now received celebrity approval: Grand Prix rider and Bundeschampionat star Uta Gräf rode 14 horses out of the current auction collection and she was impressed. “They all gave me a very good feeling: they were loose, rideable and showed a level of training appropriate for their age,” said the professional rider who rode the 6-year old Damon Jerome to silver at the 2011 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.
“They all have excellent balance and were not stressed in the slightest. That is certainly also down to the fact that, in addition to being ridden in a classical way, they get turned out every day in the paddocks. I found some of the horses very interesting indeed and I will be coming back,” added Gräf, who received much praise for her rides as test-rider at the Bundeschampionat.
The Grand Prix champion has made a date for March 29 at 7pm at the Wietelshof in Warendorf: she will definitely be present at the fourth CSW Auction.
“It was very interesting for us to observe Uta Gräf as she tried out our horses,” said CSW co- initiator Fabian Scholz. “She rode totally different horses, from the solidly-trained amateur horses to the absolute top horses. We are delighted that she approved of the quality of our auction horses and of our concept”.
The collection of 22 dressage horses, ranging from three- to six-year-olds, includes offspring of Damon Hill, Fidertanz, Dancier, Hotline and Florencio. The most famous former CSW horse to date is the Oldenburg gelding Freak Blue Phantom, who was a highly-placed finalist at the 2011 Bundeschampionat and at the World Dressage Championships for Young Horses under Kristine Möller.
