The 2012 KWPN Spring Stallion Performance Testing started today with the delivery and veterinary exam of the young stallions at equestrian centre De Driehoekshoeve in Stegeren, The Netherlands.
The dressage portion of the day started at 13h00 with an under saddle presentation of the 3-year olds. The licensing committee assessed the trainability of the stallions. Eight colts were initially entered for the 70-day performance test but only six will actually be participating in it.
El Paso (by Wynton x Flemmingh) was rejected for this testing. "He still needs to gain strength and will be sent to the autumn stallion performance testing," the KWPN society explained. The colt Exellent (by Negro x Tenerife) was withdrawn beforehand and will do the autumn testing.
