The IDRC will hold its first ever Extraordinary General Assembly in the UK on Friday 13 April 2012. At this assembly a vote will take place on the new statutes, which were drawn following the controversy between the FEI and IDRC on Rider Representation within the FEI Dressage Committee.

"We are extending our membership criteria to welcome Para Equestrian dressage riders," said IDRC president Kyra Kyrklund.  "Para Equestrian Dressage is growing fast and they need the same attention to riders' rights and sport development that the IDRC currently offers anyone that has competed at a CDI."

The principle agenda items are to change the IDRC Statutes to allow a comprehensive appeal process for all members and to include qualificiation criteria for Para Dressage riders; to incorporate the IDRC in the UK and to welcome Catherine Haddad as an Executive Board member.

All members are welcome to attend the GA and votes may be cast in person, by email, by mail or by telephone. Votes by email, mail and telephone must reach the Secretary (yvette@idrc.me by 12 April 2012.

The new statutes to be approved can be downloaded here.
