The Italian show jumping prospect Senza Limiti became the price highlight of the 126th Hanoverian Elite Auction in Verden, Germany on 14 April 2012. Sixty-five horses were sold at this auction and they achieved an average price of 29,123 euro.
The best selling Stakkato x Don Juan son sold to Bernfried Erdmann for the top price of 150,000 euro.
The most expensive dressage horse was Donna Felicia, a Don Frederico x White Star mare bred by Wolfgang Lohmann and owned by Doris Hoffmann. Austrian clients acquired the mare for 130,000 euro.
The third most expensive horse in the auction was the 4-year old gelding Stettiner F (by Stedinger x De Niro) which sold to the U.S.A. for 103,000 euro.
Gestut Letter Berg offered the 4-year old stallion Hofmarschall V for sale at the auction. American Jennifer Hoffmann won bronze with him at the 2011 Bundeschampionate. At the auction an Alabama based American paid 60,000 euro for the stallion.
Gestut Sprehe offered the licensed stallion Don Ed Hardy (by Donnerball x Weltmeyer) for sale and sold the chestnut for 70,000 euro to a Westfalian based client.
Forty-three foals were offered for sale and they achieved an average price of 6,853 euro. Dr Kerstin Klieber and Ernst Kemper bought the most expensive foal Fifty-Fifty Two (by Fidertanz x Friedensfurst) for 33,000 euro.
During the gala evening in Verden, Isabell Werth rode her olympic mount Satchmo (by Sao Paulo x Legat) one more time in public, after his official retirement in Stuttgart in November 2011.See video here.
