
The 5-year old dark bay mare Alexis became the top selling horse at the 2012 South German Auction for young sport horses in Munich on 5 May 2012. The Liberator x Fabriano mare sold for 72,000 euro to dr. Kerstin Klieber.
Thirty-one South German bred youngsters were offered for sale at the auction, which celebrated its 8th edition this year. The average price for a horse sold at this auction was 19,022 euro, which is 2,000 euro more than last year.
Alexis was the reserve champion at the 2011 South German regional championships and became the price highlight. The second best selling horse was the 5-year old stallion Sir Nymphenburg II (by Sir Donnerhall x Regazzoni) which sold for 30,000 euro. The 3-year old gelding Strahlemann (by Serano Gold x Don Primero) switched owners for 27,000 euro. The 5-year old mare Riva (by Rivero III x Tin Rocco) moves to a new barn for 26,000 euro.
The most expensive show jumper was Chilli (by Quadrigus x Calando I) which sold to Pius Schwizer's sponsor in Switzerland for 42,000 euro.
