The show jumper filly Honolulu W (by Verdi x Libero H) became the price highlight of the 2012 KWPN Foal Auction held in Maren-Kessel, The Netherlands, on 15 September 2012.
Honolulu W sold for 11,000 euro. Just like at most foal auctions in The Netherlands this year, the Maren Kessel one could not produce many top prices and the average sales price of a foal (4.188 euro) was a drop from last year (5.648 euro).
One more foal sold for more than 10,000 euro. The filly Hijrintha (by Negro x Tenerife) sold for 10.500 euro. This bay filly is a full sister to the recently licensed Exellent, who is doing his stallion performance test this autumn.
Other top knock down prices were achieved by Homario (by Apache x Lupicor), which sold for 8,500 euro, and jumper foals Hertog (by Ustinov x Ahorn, 8,000 euro) and Hemerald (by Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof x Ultimo, 7,000 euro).
