Richard Davison's British Olympic individual horse Hiscox Artemis has been sold to Swiss Under 25 rider Philine von Bremen. Balbina von Bremen, the mother of 22-year old Philine von Bremen, acquired Artemis as Grand Prix schoolmaster.
The 14-year old Westfalian gelding by Florestan x Delphi was owned by Lady Derby and had its most successful show year so far in 2012. Under Richard Davison, Artemis finished fifth in the 2012 World Cup Finals and competed as British individual pair at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
"I'm very happy to get the opportunity to ride Artemis and to have such a fun sports partner at my side," said Philine von Bremen, who has been training with Andreas Helgstrand in Denmark since April 2012. "Artemis is a sympathetic, cheerful horse who is easy to handle. He loves to work and we are already quite tuned into each other."
Martin Walther, the dressage director of the Swiss Equestrian Federation, said that the acquisition of an Olympic horse for Switzerland is "a meaningful investment into the Swiss dressage sport. It is a sign that much is changing within the sport."
Philine von Bremen was member of the Swiss Young Riders team and competed at the 2006-2009 European Junior and Young Riders Championships with Alesi, Cacharel and Bocelli and at the 2011 European Young Riders Championships with Konradi TSF.
