German former Under 25 rider Jenny Lang has made a seamless transition to the senior league, winning her first international Grand Prix class as a kur debutante at the 2013 CDI Mannheim on Sunday 5 May 2013. The 26-year old scored 75.550% in the Kur to Music and left seasoned professionals far behind her.
Jenny Lang was the 2010 Piaff Forderpreis U25 champion and finished second in the Finals in 2012. She made her international senior debut at the CDI Stadl Paura a month ago and landed top three slots straight away. In Mannheim she was third in the Grand Prix behind Andreas Helgtrand and Wolfram Wittig and dominated the kur aboard her Holsteiner bred Loverboy (by Lorentin x Alcatraz).
Lang told St. Georg that she was overwhelmed by this victory because it was her first outdoor show of the season and kept her expectations low on purpose.
Eurodressage's correspondent Silke Rottermann attended the CDI Mannheim on Sunday and made the following snapshots of the Grand Prix Kur and Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifier for developing Prix St Georges horses. The latter class was won by Uta Gräf on Dr. Hitchold's liver chestnut stallion Damon Jerome (by Damon Hill x Guy Laroche).
