Based on their excellent performances at the 2013 CDIO Rotterdam and CDIO Aachen, Delphine Meiresonne and Simon Missiaen got promoted to a higher team and putting them one step closer to team consideration for the 2013 European Dressage Championships in Herning.
Delphine Meiresonne and the Belgian warmblood Wipsy van 't Heihof (by Flemmingh x Wendekreis x Saygon) scored 66.128% in the Grand Prix and 68.396% in the Grand Prix Special, which ranked her third. Delphine, a former European Pony Champion, is trained by Coby van Baalen and has now been promoted from the B to the B+ team.
Simon Missiaen and his Dutch warmblood mare Vradin (by Gribaldi) were the best performing Belgian duo at the presitigious CDIO Aachen. With three personal best scores of 69.745%, 70.167% and 73.650%, Missiaen is now in serious contention for a Belgian team place for the European Championships as he got promoted from the B+ to the A-team. Missiaen is trained by Patrik Kittel.
Two more Belgian selection trials before the European Championships are coming up this summer, including the National Championships.
