The 5-year olds Nymphenburgs Carissimo and Frida Gold and the 6-year old Donna Diana meant business in the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the huge Oldenburg regional championships in Rastede, Germany, on 24 - 28 July 2013. The threesome won the L- and M-level dressage horse tests and earned entry tickets to the Bundeschampionate Finals in Warendorf on 4 - 8 September 2013.
The 5-year old division was split into two groups. The first group was dominated by Tessa Frank on Helmut von Fircks' Westfalian gelding Nymphenburgs Carissimo (by Caretino x Lavaletto). The pair scored a total of 8.5 to win the class and got 8.5 for trot and canter, 8 for walk, 9 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Belgian Patrick d'Eer celebrated much success in Rastede: his mare Calamity Jane won the highly prestigious champion's title in the Elite Mare Show and his Oldenburg stallion QC Flamboyant (by Fidertanz x De Niro) placed second in the BuCha qualifier with 8.3. Under Marita Pundsack, the black stallion scored 9 for trot, 8 for walk, 8.5 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Hof Kasselmann's head rider Eva Möller and the bay Oldenburg bred mare Frida Gold (by Fidertanz x De Niro) were the leaders in group 2 with 8.4. The pair scored 8.5 for walk and trot, 7.5 for canter, 9 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Finnish Laura Aromaa and Sereno (by Stedinger x Waterford) were second with 8.1. They got 8 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for canter and submission and 8.0 for general impression.
Julia Katharina von Platen and Jochen Happ's Donna Diana (by Dimaggio x Oldtimer xx) reigned supreme in the 6-year old category with a winning 8.6 overall score. The pair got a whopping 9.5 for trot, 8 for walk and 8.5 for canter, submission and general impression. Nadine Corterier and Maria Crone-Munzebrock's Sammy Deluxe (by Samarant x Rohdiamant) slotted in second with 8.5. This duo got 8 for trot, 8.5 for walk and canter, 9 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
