The 5-year olds Steppo and Hotshot and the 6-year old Rocky Lee were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held during the 2013 Westfalian Regional Championships in Munster-Handorf on 23 - 28 July 2013. This BuCha qualifier was blessed with a huge field of competitors as no less than thirty-eight 5-year olds and eighteen 6-year olds were entered to compete.
The 5-year old division was split into two groups. Claudia Ruscher and the Westfalian branded Steppo (by Spielberg) were the distinguished winners with a strong 8.5 overall score. Christine Baachmann and the Westfalian Deliano W (by Dream On) were the runners-up with 8.1. Two pairs finished in third place with 8.0 and qualified for Warendorf: Andrea Timpe on Linley B (by Lord Loxley) and Stefanie Wolf on For Comtess Royal (by Florenciano).
In the second group of 5-year olds Hermann Burger steered the Hanoverian bred Hotshot (by Hotline) to victory with 8.4. He edged out Sebastian Langehanenberg on the Hanoverian Let Me Dance (by Lord Loxley) with 8.1. Lara Heggelmann completed the top three on the Rhinelander Geraldine (by Furst Grandios) with 8.0.
Johann Hinnemann's head rider Stefanie Wolf led the Westfalian bred Rocky Lee (by Rock Forever) to the top in the 6-year old division with an 8.5 score. Ingrid Klimke and the Westfalian licensing champion Silbermond (by Sir Donnerhall I) were second with 8.3 and they were followed by Claudia Ruscher on the Hanoverian Donauwelle (by Dimaggio) with 8.2.
