Three-year olds Damon's Dream and Furst Fohlenhof and four-year olds Cindy and Ecolar took out the gold medals in the riding horse divisions at the 2013 Bundeschampionate on 4 - 9 September 2013.
With the unbeatable score of 10 for trot, Sandra and Damon's Dream (by Damon Hill x Fürst Heinrich) added strong marks of 9.50 for canter, and an 8.50 for training and conformation to her tally to finish with a 63.00 total ahead of silver medalist Andreas Müller on Biscaya (by Bordeaux x Quattro B) with 60.50. Bronze went to Rieke Schneider and Fresh Chili (by Fürst Romancier x Rotspon), on 60.00, just 3.00 behind the golden spot.
Winner of the 3-year old Riding Horse stallion finals, Lisa Neukäter made her second ever Bundeschampionate ride on the liver chestnut Fürst Fohlenhof (by Fidertanz x Mephistopheles) and the whole experience was just amazing. "The weekend in Warendorf was very exciting for everyone in our team," says Lisa. "In 2012 I entered on Quotenkönig (by Quaterback x Fürt Piccolo) who got a very good placement and was named as reserve champion but when Fürst Fohlenhof became champion at this year's competition, it was really fantastic."
Bred by Mr Johannes Baumeister, Furst Fohlenhof is owned by Mrs Claudia Heicke and arrived at the Hengststation Schult in Hünxe, when he was two-years old. "There he was prepared for licensing in Münster-Handorf and at the licensing he was named premium stallion."
His rider from the very beginning, Lisa feels he is a very nice horse with a very good character and very easy to ride, which makes it a lot of fun! "From the beginning I trained the horse with Isabel Werth focussing on promoting the horse's natural movement and ensuring that the horse is enjoying working with us," she told Eurodressage.
Victorious in the 4-year old Mares and Geldings' class, Hermann Gerdes and Cindy (by Sir Donnerhall I / Fürst Heinrich) led the pack with a 62.00 ahead of Monika Mittermayer and Brancusi (by Kaiserdom x Cupric xx) on 59.50 and Kira Wulferding and Saphira Royal NG (by San Amour x Monteverdi) on 58.50.
Finally, in the 4-year old Riding Horse Stallion finals, Hermann Burger and Escolar (by Estobar x Fürst Piccolo) were a rewarded a 10 for canter and took Gold with a 63.00 total ahead of equal silver medalists, Jana Freund and Bodyguard (by Burlington x Pik L) and Katrin Burger and Danzarino (by Diamond Hit x Laurentio) on 61.50.
