The 3-year old Fuzette and the 4-year olf Endyrava became the winners of the 2013 KWPN Young Dressage Talents show, a talent spotting competition organised by the local KWPN branch "West-Brabant" at equestrian centre Den Goubergh in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, on 21 September 2013.
Judges by Jeroen Hulsman and Marianne Dorresteyn, the 90 participating youngsters were assessed on their basic gaits and rideability. Guest judge rider Kirsten Brouwer test rode the top ranked horses.
In the 3-year old division Yvonne Copal steered the late Huub van Helvoirt's breeding product Fuzette (by Zhivago x OO Seven) to victory. The bay mare was winner of the 3-year old mare division at the regional mare show in Limburg and participated in the big mare finals at the 2013 KWPN Horse Days in Ermelo. "She's a super nice horse," said guest judge rider Kirsten Brouwer. "She gave me such a good feeling, really nice in the mouth and she was well connected between the hind and front. She has much go, is sensitive in a good way and very rideable. She could have had a bit more power, but she's only three."
The 3-year old reserve champion was Footloose (by Spielberg x Negro), bred by A. Jansen and ridden by Segalle Christ. This horse stood out with her powerful engine and great rideability. Under Martina Opocenska the 3-year old For Treasure (by Vivaldi x Nairobi) finished third.
In the 4-year old division Aniek de Laat rode her mare Endyrava (by Lord Leatherdale x Monaco) into the winner's circle. The bay won the class and guest judge rider Brouwer praised her for her movement mechanism and willingness to work. The runner up was Eastwood S (by Ampere x Juventus), who was bred and presented by Peter van de Sande. This horse stood out with its spectacular trot and canter but was tense in the walk. Dutch junior riders' champion Jeanine Nieuwenhuis slotted in third with Esplanada (by Munchhausen x Ronaldo). This horse excelled with his gorgeous conformation and good balance. The black stallion tied in third place with Empaier W (by Jazz x Rubinstein), which was presented by Kelly Outhuijse.
