The 3-year old mare Larissa and foals Maurizio and Giulietta became the grand champions at the 2013 Austrian Warmblood breeding championships held in Stadl Paura, Austrian on 20 - 22 September 2013.
From a group of fifteen 3-year old mares that were picked for the finals ring in the 2013 Austrian Warmblood Mare Championship, the liver chestnut mare Larissa moved into the winner's circle and was proclaimed Mare of the Year. The Florencio x First Class II offspring, which is bred by Johann Schindler and owned by Jurgen Wunsch, scored 8.2 to claim the champion's sash. She got 8.5 for type and conformation and 8.5 for walk. Ernst Mayr's Exquisit EM (by Puschkin x Rohdiamant) was the reserve champion with an 8.1 total. She got 8.5 for type and 8 for confirmation and walk.
In the 4-year old mare championship, 18 mares were presented and 7 moved to the finals. Bred and owned by by Alexander Liebscher, Cassandra L (by Scolari x Friedenfürst x Itaxerxes) was named the champion with a score of 8.6. This bay mare scored 9 for type, 8.5 for conformation and 8 for walk. Jurgen Wunsch's Rose Garden (by Orpheus x Fresko) was the runner up with a total of 8.2. This mare earned 8.5 for type, 8 for conformation and 8.5 for walk.
In the 2013 Austrian Warmblood Foal Championship breeder Alfred Leser accomplished an extraordinary feat as not only his colt but also his filly were named Foal Champions this year. His dark bay colt Maurizio (by Millennium) and his bay filly Giulietta (by Destano) both scored 8.67 points to became national champions.
In the colt category Maurizio scored 8.5 for type and conformation and 9 for movements. The runner up was Julia Hruby's Quintin RGF (by Quaterback), which earned 8.5 for type, conformation and movements to total 8.5. Johann Scheuringer's Bumerang (by Boston) ranked third with a total of 8.33.
In the filly division Leser's Giulietta was the only foal to score 9's. She got 9 for type and movement and 8 for conformation. The reserve champion was Andreas Winter's Bella Ballerina (by Zack x ) with straight 8.5s on the board. Benedikt Rainer's Destina (by Desperados) slotted in third with 8.5 for type and movement and 8 for conformation.
