Tobajo Picez, Norway's Most Used Breeding Stallion of 2013

The Norwegian warmblood society has released the provisional statistics of the breedings that have been registerd in the country in 2013. The drop in the amount of breeding, which began in 2012, has continued in 2013.

The statistics are based on the number of covering released by Norway's principal stallion stations such as Asak Hestesenter, Bråten gård, Tobajo Sportshorses, Ekra Gård, JJ Horses, Stutteri Myrstad, Stutteri ML and Hege Hasvold.

In 2013 only 123 mares have been covered in Norway. In 2012 the number was 149 and in 2011 it was 162.

The most popular stallion in the country is the Norwegian warmblood and show jumping stallion Tobajo Picez (by Cortez x Pik Trumpf). He sired for instance Trude Hestengen's Grand Prix dressage stallion Tobajo Pik Disney. Tobajo Picez covered 22 mares this year.

The Oldenburg licensed dressage stallion Royal Olymp (by Rohdiamant x Florestan) is the runner-up, covering 15 mares
