Belgian young dressage rider Jorinde Verwimp has been nominated for the Talent of the Year 2013 competition, organized annually by the Flemmish Equestrian Federation (VLP).
The 19-year old Jorinde Verwimp has been Belgium's most successful young rider dressage, spear heading the Belgian team to win bronze at the 2013 European Young Riders Championships in Compiegne, France. Verwimp and her Dutch warmblood Tiamo (by Lester x Hemmingway) have also won numerous international young riders classes during the 2013 outdoor CDI show season. Verwimp is trained by Anky van Grunsven and her father Wim.
Each year three young A-team riders across disciplines are nominated for the VLP Talent of the Year competition. The winner of the title is determined by public vote as well as by a judges panel of equestrian experts.
The nominees for this year's 2013 VLP Talent of the Year competition are Pieter Clemens (jumping), Jos Verlooy (jumping) and Jorinde Verwimp (dressage). Verwimp already got nominated for the 2012 Talent competition and became runner up.
