The Intermediaire II test is set to disappear from the show program in 2014. This was decided by the FEI Dressage Committee on their last conference call meeting on 21 November 2013.
The Dressage Director and the Dressage Committee discussed the Intermediaire II and decided that it should be taken out for 2013 as this was how the rules for 2014 had been formulated and were approved by the FEI General Assembly in Montreux.
The Under 25 category will no longer ride the Intermediaire II as starting test but will be riding the new medium tour Intermediaire B, followed by the Grand Prix for 16 - 25 riders (short Grand Prix).
"The committee will have a second view on this at their meeting next week, upon request from some National Federations," FEI Dresage Director Trond Asmyr told Eurodressage.
