The Danish Equestrian Federation has appointed Kimi Nielsen as the Danish Elite and Talent Manager for dressage effective 1 January 2014. Nielsen has been the Danish Grand Prix team chef d'equipe since the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong.
Nielsen will continue to carry out her role as chef d'equipe for the senior Grand Prix team, but as Danish dressage is expanding following international successes across the levels from pony sport to Junior and young riders up to Grand Prix. The Scandinavian country is now also hosting several international dressage events and take a frontrunner place in the international dressage sport.
"One of Kimi's tasks will be to maintain and build on this strong foundation," said the press officier of the Danish Equestrian Federation.
Therefore, Nielsen has now appointed Elite & Talent Manager and besides being a Chef d'equipe, she will also be responsible for the daily management of the team coaches, the development and implementation of strategies and action plans, as well as collaborating with the Danish sports' organisation Team Denmark.
Nielsen is a certified business and life coach based in Silkeborg, Denmark. She is also a Grand Prix dressage rider.
