The 5-year old Hanoverian branded stallion Divine Etincelle (by Desperados x A Jungle Prince- was named champion of the 2014 Austrian Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Stadl Paura, Austria, on 8 February 2014.
The 2014 Austrian Warmblood Licensing was open to young colts who wished to get approved for the Stallion Performance Testing as well as for stallions with an HLP score which wanted to obtain approval for the Austrian warmblood society. Of the 27 registered young colts between the ages of 3 and 4, 23 were accepted for the testing. Two of them were recommended by the committee, Jasper (by Johnson x Riccione) and United N (by Uphill x Almox Prince J).
Of the colts that have completed the performance testing, the dark bay stallion Divine Etincelle was proclaimed champion. He is bred by Paul Sprehe in Germany and owned by Austrian Agyd Pengg. He scored the highest mark of 7.96 points and obtained the title of licensing champion. The stallion excelled in the free jumping phase as well as in the freedom phase.
The reserve licensing champion was the Austrian bred Smeraldo STH (by Swarovski x Weltjuwel). The chestnut stallion is bred and owned by Claudia Wuggenig and got a total of 7.57 points from the licensing committee, which included Leopold Erasimus and Peter Zechner.
The third ranked stallion was Solid Gold. The 5-year old black stallion by Sungold x Grannox is bred by Anna and Erich Haas and owned by Alice Schwab. He completed the licensing with a score of 7.56 points.
Five older stallions were approved as well. They are all jumpers: Acasino B, Cinquecento, Exquisite´s Fantasy ox, Acquasi CH, and Nobilo von der Wart.
