Dutch junior rider and former European pony champion Sanne Vos has a new horse to ride for the junior division in 2014. Vos took over the reins on the 7-year old Christobalito.

Christobalito is a 2007 born Westfalian branded stallion, bred by Britta Markert-Löbbert and previously owned by Klaus Rietmann. The bay stallion is by Cristallo out of Wallencia (by Weinzauber x Goldlack I) and is currently owned by trainer Coby van Baalen and Johann Hinnemann.

The bay stallion was shown as a 4 an 5-year old in the show jumping horse classes at A and L-level by Thomas Voss, but has now been re-tuned to dressage.

The 17-year old Sanne Vos capped off her last year at FEI pony level with individual test gold and kur silver at the 2012 European Pony Championships. In 2013 she made the transition to junior riders' level aboard the Dutch bred Amazone (by United). The pair finished sixth at the 2013 National Championships but did not make the Dutch team for the European Junior Riders Championships.

Vos and Christobalito have made their show debut last week at Z2-level in order to be eligible to ride the junior classes. "I think it's a promising combination because Christobalito has no weaknesses and a lot of strong points," Vos' trainer Coby van Baalen commented. "He's a sympathic horse with much expression."
