Dressage icon Edward Gal will not be competing at the World Cup qualifier in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 26 February - 2 March 2014. Gal has scratched from the entry list as his horse Voice is not fit to compete.

Gal and Voice were scheduled to join partner Hans Peter Minderhoud and Johnson on this trip to Gothenburg, but the horse became unlevel after having been out in the paddock.

Owner Glock stated that, "We are very sorry. Ed had to cancel Gothenburg today. Voice was not really good when he came out of the field yesterday and even today he is not really 100% clear. So we wont take any risk."

Thirteen horses and rider combinations are entered to compete the World Cup qualifier in Gothenburg: Marc Peter Spahn (Ekwador), Lena Aaman (Gorklintgaards Fanero), Nanna Merrald (Millibar), Jessica Werndl (Unee BB), Hans Peter Minderhoud (Johnson), Cathrine Rasmussen (Fernandez), Elena Sidneva (Romeo Star), Caroline Darcourt (Paridon Magi), Paulinda Friberg (Di Lapponia T), Patrik Kittel (Toy Story), Sofie Lexner (Charming Boy), Juliette Ramel (Ten Points), Kristian von Krusenstierna (Biggles).
